- 2023 New Intellectuals, 53 people from 12 fields from all walks of life selected

[Sunday Newspaper] 'New intellectuals' who broke away from existing ways of thinking and practiced economic development and sharing for the local community and Korea through new ideas and innovation were elected.

The '2023 Global New Intellectual Certification Ceremony' was held at the Central Convention Center in Buk-gu, Daegu on the 12th.

This year's new intellectuals were 53 people who were active in 12 fields from all walks of life, including architecture, restaurants, small and medium-sized enterprises, self-employment, education, culture and arts, and sports, and were selected after a strict review.

In the field of architecture, Bae Jun-seong, director of Zest Construction Co., Ltd., Lim Gyeong-mook, CEO of Intitle, Lee Sang-yeop, CEO of Dunat Co., Ltd., and Park Jin-heon, CEO of Pallet, were selected.

Kim Chang-jun, president of the Global New Intellectual Certification Association, who visited the site on this day, introduced, "The Global New Intellectual Association is a non-profit organization that ultimately seeks to contribute to society by promoting the start-up of young people and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises." He expressed his thoughts. 

He continued, "Let's present new ideas with sparkling creativity and work together to develop individual lives and the Republic of Korea based on the spirit of sharing and service."

He added, "With passion and dedication, “Let’s become a core driving force of national competitiveness and participate in shining the Republic of Korea together,” he said.

Meanwhile, the ‘Global New Intellectual Certification Association (GNICA)’ is a non-profit organization that started in 1999. Every year, regardless of education or occupation, we select 'new intellectuals' who share the knowledge they have developed with passion and tenacity in their respective fields with our society.

The qualifications for new intellectuals are creativity, innovation, information sharing, and social contribution. They share new ideas outside the existing framework and practice sharing and service as well as economic development in the local community. The certification process is carried out in the following order: document submission/examination, interview, on-site visit, final review, presentation of examination results, certification ceremony, and member registration.
