Recently, the Vietnamese real estate market has been receiving a lot of attention from Korean investors. I am from Vietnam and currently working as a real estate expert at Remax Wonderance Korea. Through this article, I would like to share useful information about Vietnamese real estate investment with Korean investors.

I am the first and only professional to have obtained a real estate brokerage license in both Vietnam and Korea. I have been attracted to the real estate field and have built a career in it based on my deep interest in business and investment. In particular, when I was working in Vietnam, I saw that Korean investors were having difficulties in investing in Vietnamese real estate, and decided to play a role in connecting the two countries.
Working with an expert who understands the real estate markets of both countries is a factor that can give investors confidence. I have the advantage of being able to provide more professional and legal services because I am well aware of the legal regulations of both countries.
There are two main types of Vietnamese real estate preferred by Korean investors.
First, there are luxury apartments located in large cities such as Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi. Vietnam's urbanization is currently in the early 40% range, but the population is steadily increasing, so the demand for and interest in apartments among locals is also increasing. These luxury apartments have high rental demand, so you can expect stable income.
Next is resort real estate. Villas and condotels along the coastlines of places like Da Nang and Nha Trang are typical tourist accommodations, and they have the advantage of high profits expected through short-term rentals.

However, prices in big cities like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi have recently risen significantly, so they may be relatively more expensive.
I recommend the nearby cities of Hai Phong, Hong Kong, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, and Bac Ninh. These are promising investment destinations at present, but are expected to grow even further in the future due to urban expansion plans.

There are many differences between the Vietnamese real estate market and Korea.
While the Korean real estate market has a transparent management system, Vietnam is still in the process of establishing legal regulations. However, Vietnam has no real estate tax or restrictions on the number of houses owned, and no property tax is applied.
In terms of price, while real estate prices in major cities in Korea are very high, Vietnam is a market with many investment opportunities due to its relatively low prices.
There are also differences in investor psychology. Korean investors mainly consider profitability when making investments, but Vietnamese locals tend to prioritize “buying a home.”
The Vietnamese real estate market is expected to maintain steady growth. The Vietnamese government is actively promoting urbanization and infrastructure development, and the stability of the real estate market will be further strengthened by the relaxation of foreign investment regulations and economic growth. In particular, real estate values are expected to rise not only in large cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, but also in tourist cities such as Da Nang and Nha Trang.
In addition, the growth of Vietnam's young population and the expansion of the middle class are also positive factors. Vietnam's urbanization continues to increase, which will continue to act as a factor driving real estate demand. As global companies accelerate their entry into the Vietnamese market, the commercial real estate and office markets are also likely to grow.
It is important for Korean investors to closely analyze the changes and policies of the Vietnamese real estate market and establish investment strategies. The market has ample growth potential and investment opportunities, but accurately understanding legal requirements and market characteristics will be the key to successful investment. I plan to continue to play a role in providing real estate investment opportunities to Korean and Vietnamese investors. In addition, I aim to develop real estate services for Vietnamese people living in Korea and further enhance my expertise in real estate investment.
We hope that this article will be useful information for readers interested in investing in real estate in Vietnam, and that they will continue to pay attention to the ongoing changes in the market.
