(社)NanaNaWorldwide is a non-profit organization established with the goal of fostering global leaders and creating jobs and entrepreneurship through self-exploration by young people.
We provide personalized career consulting based on the Clifton Strength Finder™ program from Gallup, a renowned strengths-based coaching program in the United States, and regularly hold hobby class events to help young people find ways to live their lives true to themselves.
In 2023, NanaNana Worldwide developed the world's first 'Me-Like Index', which defines six criteria for what young people consider important to live a 'life like me' and is an indicator that quantitatively expresses the importance of each criteria.
The 'My Way Index' consists of six criteria: self-determination, self-acceptance, self-care, self-trust, mutual respect, and self-expression. It was derived from the results of a survey conducted on 464 young people in Korea aged 20 to 39, and was sponsored by Remax Korea, which supports the desirable lives of young people and practices social responsibility.
In the 2024 survey results, young people chose 'self-determination', which means 'independent life' and 'responsible', as the most important characteristic necessary for 'living life my way' with 25.8%. This is the same result as last year, confirming that 'self-determination' is a key indicator for young people.
The main differences between the 2023 and 2024 survey results are as follows. The positive response rate to 'Am I living my life true to myself' decreased by more than 10%, from 63.6% in 2023 to 50.5% in 2024. In terms of ranking of 'What I want to do to live my life true to myself in the future', while making money (14.5%) took second place in 2023, self-development programs took second place with 19.2% in 2024. The willingness to participate in 'programs that help me live my life true to myself' increased, with the positive response rate in 2023 being 63.3%, and in 2024 being 74.8%, showing an increase rate of more than 10%.
93.9% of the respondents answered that 'living a life true to myself' is important, and more than half (53.%) answered that it is 'very important', showing that there are many young people who actively pursue 'living a life true to myself'. In response to a question asking about the factor that helps me live true to myself, the top response rate was myself (23.3%), followed by my own time (18.3%), and in response to a question asking about the factor that hinders me, people's gaze (26.%) was ranked first and money (18.9%) was ranked second. In response to a question asking what I want to do in the future to live true to myself, both those in their 20s and 30s chose 'hobby life' the most (23.3%). In connection with this, a character called 'Nada' was developed to communicate with young people.
