Money Today selected ‘good companies’ and ‘good companies’ in each industry and held an awards ceremony on the 18th. The '2021 7th Korea Good Company Awards' held on this day was held non-face-to-face and offline in compliance with government quarantine guidelines. Although it is a difficult situation, it was a tribute to the hard work of businessmen who eliminated the crisis through innovative management and achieved growth by coexisting with the local community.
In his greeting, Money Today CEO Park Jong-myeon said, “The ‘Good Company Awards’ is an event that allows us to reflect on the meaning of entrepreneurship,” and added, “It has established itself as one of the major events that highlight companies that contribute to our economy.” He added, “There will always be crises in some way in the future,” and “For companies that make efforts for their customers and society, this can also serve as an opportunity for growth.”
The characteristic of this year's 'Good Company Awards' is that a large number of companies with deep-rooted technologies or high R&D (research and development) capabilities were nominated. Companies that are producing results and continuing research based on technological prowess received good evaluations. This trend continued to startups as well. Companies with creativity and research capabilities in fields such as AI (artificial intelligence), materials, and big data were selected as award winners. They have proven the power of startups in the market by building a platform that leads trends or presenting unique solutions through the convergence of technologies.
Lee Jong-seop, a professor at Dongguk University who was in charge of the judging, said, "We selected the award-winning companies in about 10 areas, including technology, quality, and social contribution," and added, "They are all companies with the power to delve deep into the global market." He added, “Good people and good companies change the world,” and added, “We hope that the companies that win the Good Company Award will contribute to ‘creating a good society.’”
